For the sixth year, People magazine will join forces with ET for the popular bash. It will follow the Emmy telecast on Sept. 20.
This year, the party moves to iconic Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles with a much more intimate affair compared to years past.
The ET Emmy party will transform the former archdiocese cathedral,
built in 1876, into a lavish setting utilizing an elegant palette of
warm tones, classic furniture and décor featuring a modern twist.
It's certainly a primo spot, just minutes from the awards ceremony site, the Nokia Theatre. The idea is make guests feel transported to an intimate soiree.
The celebratory energy will be enhanced with tunes spun
by celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson and a special live musical performance,
which we hope to break soon. Past headline acts include Prince, Duran Duran, Billy Idol, and Earth, Wind & Fire.
The menu is from celebrity chef Susan Feniger‘s Los Angeles restaurant Street. Milk, a local favorite known for its desserts, will provide a frozen treat bar, mini ice-cream sandwiches, drumsticks, bonbons, milk shakes and malts.
"We are really looking to host this year’s party at a venue that's exciting and untapped for most people in the TV business. Vibiana will give us an amazing backdrop for our entertainment and menu this year,” said Linda Bell Blue, executive producer for ET and The Insider.
And there's more ….
]]>The party will also feature a customized Absolut Vodka bar serving signature cocktails. The Maybelline Lounge will reflect a modern and sophisticated environment highlighting the new Color Sensational lipstick line; color consultants will help guests fill up their personal gift bags with product samples.
Did we mention the gift bag?
An exclusive Cole Haan canvas and leather tote will be filled with an assortment of high-end products such as gift certificates for a three-night stay at the Grand Wailea Resort in Maui and a Kate Somerville facial, in addition to a Bodum travel French press, DVDs from CBS Home Entertainment (including "The Best of Star Trek" and "The Odd Couple"), a current bestseller from Simon & Schuster books, and products by Murad Skin Care, American Crew, Duwop and Cargo.
See you there, we hope!
