Did Vince say goodbye to the movie business to become a DJ? Not a chance. The first official “Entourage” movie trailer is here. In a bit of a misdirect, the opening shows a hooded Vincent Chase showing off his DJ skills with Calvin Harris surrounded by a club filled with beauties — some things never change. But of course this is “Entourage,” and it turns out this DJ gig is just a part Chase is playing in a new film.
All of the original stars of the HBO show are back in the upcoming movie, and Vince (Adrian Grenier), Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon), Eric “E” Murphy (Kevin Connolly) and Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) all seem to be back to their old tricks. Well, everyone except for Turtle. Jerry Ferrara’s character debuts his hot, toned-up physique in the film. However someone who doesn’t seem to be a big fan of Turtle 2.0 is UFC star Ronda Rousey, who apparently decides to take out her aggressions out on in the ring.
When things left off with the series finale in 2011, the gang was jetting off to Paris to attend the wedding of Vince and Vanity Fair writer Sofia. Ari, who struggled with a possible divorce all season, decided to choose his family over work this time around. Just as soon as fans found out Ari was becoming a family man with his wife (Perrey Reeves) — whose name, Melissa, was revealed in the finale — Ari got offered to be head of a studio. Lovable Lloyd (Rex Lee) took over Ari’s old agency gig with his blessing, and E and Sloane (Emmanuelle Chriqui) found out they were having a baby.
Things seem to pick up right where Season 8 ended in the film, with one major difference — Vince isn’t behaving like a married man. Also on tap for the movie are lots of guest stars old and new, including such beautiful women as “Blurred Lines” video vixen Emily Ratajkowski, Sabina Gadecki and Nina Agdal, along with returning favorite Gary Busey. Billy Bob Thornton and Haley Joel Osment also appear as father and son Larsen and Travis McCredle — who are guaranteed to be stirring up trouble for the boys.
Series creator Doug Ellin directed the film and co-wrote it with Rob Weiss. The movie is set for a June 5 release.
