Braeden, who chose to leave the show a few weeks ago rather than accept a pay cut from producer Sony Pictures TV, has had a change of heart and will return to the CBS soap, The Wrap reports. His last episode was set for Nov. 2; there’s no word yet on how his character, Victor Newman, will be re-integrated into the show’s story.

Sony had asked the cast and crew of “The Young & the Restless” to take pay cuts earlier this fall. Rather than reduce his salary from about $1.5 million a year to $1 million, Braeden, who’s been with the show since 1980, opted to leave. Details on his new deal weren’t available.

Comedy Central set a ratings record Thursday night thanks to a bunch of dummies.

“The Jeff Dunham Show,” starring comedian-ventriloquist Dunham and his array of puppets, drew 5.3 million viewers for its series premiere. It was the biggest series premiere in Comedy Central history in viewers and adults 18-49 (2.6 rating). The show was the most-watched program on cable Thursday night and also led among the male viewers the channel targets.

Encore airings of the premiere later in the night pushed the cumulative viewer count to 7.9 million.
