In 2009, ESPN reporter Erin Andrews made the celebrity news beat when a stalker videotaped her doing various activities in her hotel room while unclothed. The stalker, Michael David Barrett, has since been sentenced to 30 months in prison and will have to register as a sex offender when he is released. Andrews is suing both the hotels and the stalker in civil court.
Now over a year later, another lawsuit could be filed. In a letter obtained by TMZ, Erin’s lawyer claims the website The Dirty is “unlawfully” posting pictures from the video. Those pictures constitute a privacy violation, as they belong “exclusively to Ms. Andrews.”
