The flick is all about a plague that has swept the Earth's population, transforming the majority into vampires. Humans are now endangered, forced into hiding as thy are hunted and farmed for vampire consumption to the brink of extinction. That is, until Hawke (Edward Dalton), a vampire researcher who is seeking his own version of True Blood — a blood substitute to save them all. What is it with the name Edward and the undead anyway?
