Ao4PVF5CEAAvCnH.jpg-large.jpgFake tweets are nothing new, but one that’s actually insightful and, in turn, goes viral is a different story. A fake tweet incorrectly attributed to Will Smith on Monday (March 26) questioned the injustice in Kim Kardashian’s flour bomber being arrested quickly while the killer of Florida 17-year-old Trayvon Martin went unpunished.

“WE live in America where a girl that threw flour on Kim Kardashian was arrested on site But the man who KILLED Trayvon Martin is still free,” the tweet from @RealWillSmith read. (Also, incidentally, the account is actually @reaiwiiismith — it’s only listed as @RealWillSmith on the parody account’s page. The real @RealWillSmith is just some white guy from Nashville, Tenn. — confused? Us too.)

The real, real Will Smith doesn’t actually have a Twitter account, but that didn’t stop celebrities like Spike Lee, Rosie O’Donnell and Omarosa from retweeting the quote before realizing it was a fake, reports the Hollywood Reporter.
