Warner Bros. has found their female lead to star opposite Eddie Redmayne in “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” the “Harry Potter” spinoff film.
“Boardwalk Empire” star Katherine Waterston, who appeared in Season 4 of the series as Emma Harrow, will play Porpentina — you can call her Tina — in the movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Tina is a witch living in the United States who meets Redmayne’s Newt Scamander in New York City.
Waterson was most recently seen in the movie “Inherent Vice,” starring Joaquin Phoenix.
Veteran “Harry Potter” director David Yates will helm “Fantastic Beasts,” with a screenplay written by J.K. Rowling. It’s due in theaters on Nov. 18, 2016.
