Is Farrah Fawcett not doing so well?

Despite Fawcett's camp's recent rebuttal of what were called unfounded reports of her failing health, Fawcett’s son, Redmond O’Neal, 24, was released from jail to spend three hours with his mother over the weekend.

The visit was supervised by the sheriff’s office. "A sergeant and a deputy drove him to his mother's home [Saturday], and he's now back in custody," L.A. County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore tells People.

A temporary release for inmates is common when a family member is gravely ill, to attend a funeral, or similar emergencies. But a source tells People that the actress' condition is still the same. She's still battling cancer.

"Of course she's ill, but nothing should be read into the timing of Redmond's visit. … It was not a crisis or emergency. Farrah is status quo," says their source.

The O'Neal family reportedly paid $1,285.39 out of their own pockets for the visit to cover personnel and mileage costs.

Redmond is being held for his court hearing Wednesday. The only son of Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal is probably going to receive more drug counseling and rehab after his most recent arrest for drugs.

Come on, clean up your act. Make your mother happy while she's alive. Promise her and stick to it.
