It’s only a little over a week until the premiere of “A Deadly Adoption,” the Lifetime movie Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig secretly filmed, and the first trailer promises that it will be everything that viewers are hoping.

There’s an desperate, borderline-crazy voiceover: “We could have had everything. We could have had a happy life together. But you’re a selfish coward and a liar just like the rest of them.”

There’s a bloody Will Ferrell. There’s Kristen Wiig wielding a gun. And there’s Ferrell telling Jessica Lowndes that she “really [is] a strange girl” in a way that might indicate there’s something untoward going on between their characters.

Inspired by a true story, “A Deadly Adoption” stars Ferrell and Wiig as a successful couple who house and care for a pregnant woman (Lowndes) in hopes of adopting her unborn child once it is born.

As with any good Lifetime movie, clearly things go awry.

“A Deadly Adoption” premieres Saturday, June 20 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime. It will be rebroadcast twice immediately following the premiere.
