“You know, it’s funny because Peter and I both saw [aliens] before we knew each other, doing the same thing, driving on the road with our dads,” Drescher tells the Huffington Post. “We were both in junior high. A few years later, we met, and we realized that we had the same experience. I think that somehow we were programmed to meet. We both have this scar. It’s the exact same scar on the exact same spot.”

It turns out that Drescher isn’t the only celebrity who believes she’s been abducted by aliens who, like Scientologists, must recognize the inherent value in high-profile targets.

In March 2011, one-time Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar made a similar claim, saying aliens had downloaded something into him — presumably the lyrics to “Three Lock Box.”

Shirley MacLaine doesn’t necessarily claim to have been taken, but according to MSN, she has a provision in her insurance police protecting her $25 million fortune in case of an alien abduction.

John Travolta, a longtime disciple of the Church of Scientology, spent millions of his own dollars to make 2000’s “Battlefield Earth,” based on a book by Scientology inventor L. Ron Hubbard. The movie depicts an Earth that has long been under the rule of an alien culture. Scientology teaches adherents that extraterrestrial civilizations have long been intervening in our earthly doings.
