It’s obvious HBO’s “Game Change,” a dramatization of the 2008 presidential race, will be polarizing. But now that its airdate has come, we want to know: What did you think?
Did Sarah Palin look stupid? Or do you think it was a fair portrayal of the former Alaska governor-turned-vice presidential candidate? Zap2it’s reviewer says of Julianne Moore‘s portrayal, “While [it] can’t be considered flattering, we were oddly sympathetic to Palin at the end of the film. She’s depicted as a strong-willed person who was ill-prepared for the whirlwind she was thrown into, and there are a handful of moments where her best qualities are highlighted. We particularly liked her insistence that despite a statement to the contrary, she was not proud of her daughter Bristol’s pregnancy.”
Palin’s Political Action Committee released a statement in response to the film:
“I haven’t seen HBO’s latest effort at manipulating history. However, based upon the description and reports from people who have viewed the film ‘Game Change,’ HBO has distorted, twisted and invented facts to create a false narrative and attract viewers. They call it a docu-drama, there is little ‘docu’ in it. HBO must add a disclaimer that this movie is fiction.”
“Game Change” airs Saturday, March 10 at 9 p.m. on HBO. Weigh in on the film in the comments once you’ve seen it!
