“Game of Thrones” Season 5 is coming to HBO in just over a month, and changes are on the horizon — particularly for Arya Stark (Maisie Williams).
Entertainment Weekly debuted some teases in its massive “Game of Thrones” issue, and in doing so unveiled the major makeover Arya will undergo. For the first time since Season 1, she will actually look like a lady!
At the end of Season 3, Arya headed off to Braavos, and it’s clear the move away from Westeros will have a dramatic affect on the young Stark. As for why Arya is taking on the new look, show watchers will have to wait to find out.
Williams says the new outfit caused some personal changes for her on set. “I have clean hair that actually moves,” she tells EW. “I came onto set and nobody recognized me.”

By contrast, here’s how she looked in the last shot of Season 4:
EW offered hints of what’s to come in the full cover story, which include insight on a record three (!!) weddings in one season, characters dying who are still alive in George R.R. Martin’s novels and key show storylines deviating from the books in “controversial ways.”
“Game of Thrones” Season 5 premieres on April 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.
