Richard Madden‘s arc on “Game of Thrones” might be over, but he’ll still soon be coming to a television set near you. The man formerly known as Robb Stark has taken up a new role in the Discovery mini-series “Klondike.”

Entertainment Weekly posted the first trailer of the show, and it looks pretty fantastic. Like “Game of Thrones,” “Klondike” was shot on real-life locations, so those gorgeous Yukon landscapes seen in the trailer are all real.

Madden ditches his real Scottish accent to play an American named Bill Haskell who treks up to the Yukon in the late 1890s with his best friend Byron Epstein to try to stake his claim in the gold rush. During his journey he falls for Belinda Mulrooney, played by Abbie Cornish.

“Klondike” will premiere on Discovery in January 2014. In addition to this series, Madden also stars in Disney’s live action “Cinderella” as Prince Charming. That movie will come out March 13, 2015.
