daenerys game of thrones 'Game of Thrones': 'Super sized' Season 3 features longer episodesWhat’s better than “Game of Thrones”? More “Game of Thrones,” of course.

Season 3 of the lavish HBO fantasy series will feature “super-sized” episodes, reports EW.

Each of the season’s 10 episodes, which focus on the third installment of George R.R. Martin’s “Song of Ice and Fire,” will be about five minutes longer than usual.

“Last year we had a lot of 52-minute episodes, says co-showrunner David Benioff. “This year is a lot of 56, 57 … a super-sized season, as befitting ‘Storm of Swords.'” (And a certain colorful wedding.)

“There’s almost another full episode’s worth of extra minutes spread across the season,” adds his partner, David Weiss. “One of the great liberties with HBO is we’re not forced to come in at a specific time. We can’t be under 50 minutes or over 60, but that gives us a lot of flexibility.”

But the network says it might make an exception for the season finale, which, like Season 2’s last episode, could clock in at over an hour.

“All 10 episodes gained a minute or two from past seasons with the finale very possibly exceeding 60 minutes,” HBO announced.

“So for people clamoring for another episode, it’s in there,” Weiss tells EW. “It’s just been cut into tiny pieces.”

Season 3 of “Game of Thrones” premieres Sunday, March 31, on HBO. Will you make time to watch it?
