For the entire night, the episode was watched by 8.2 million viewers.

AMC’s new period tech series “Halt and Catch Fire” didn’t have as hot a night. It premiered to 1.2 million viewers after being available online for free two weeks beforehand. That number is being compared to AMC’s other new series “Turn,” which premiered to 2.1 million viewers on April 6.
Meanwhile, HBO continued to have a good night with the Season 1 finale of “Silicon Valley.” The episode earned 1.7 million viewers in its first showing, and 2.0 million total for the night.
