georgia may jagger model Georgia May Jagger: 'I do think the [modeling] industry is changing as far as body types'Fresh off being featured in People’s annual Most Beautiful issue, Georgia May Jagger, daughter of rock legend Mick Jagger and model Jerry Hall, sat down with The Independent to talk about her life as the offspring of a rock star.

At Milan Fashion Week, she tells the magazine how nervous she was.

“For the last few days I’ve been so nervous. Even though I’ve been modeling for years, it’s my first season doing any shows. It’s nerve-wracking,” says Jagger. “Especially in Milan, where every girl is 5ft 11ins — I do feel that height-ist attitude.”

Jagger stands a healthy 5’7″, but in the world of fashion, that’s not considered very tall. That means instead of runways, she does a lot of magazine editorials.

“I really enjoy doing beauty because I’m not as tall as the other girls. I feel like I’m a bit better at it. But I actually really enjoy doing the shows … It’s nice when you’re doing modelling to do every aspect of it, to be with the other girls, and to get to hang out backstage. It is quite fun.”

“But then saying that,” she adds. “I’m not doing five shows a day for every fashion week. If I did I’d probably have a different heart. I’m not sure.”

Jagger goes on to say that her model mother is proud that Georgia May is following in her footsteps — complete with embarrassing mom activities, like framing her pictorials.

“She does stuff like putting my campaigns in frames and I always take them down. It’s so embarrassing but she’s just being a mum. You know what they’re like,” says Jagger.

“Right now, the industry reminds me of when my mum was younger, because the girls are supermodels, they do everything and they have the personality to boot. I do think the industry is changing as far as body types. I feel like a personality and an important face is sticking more than just everyone being the same.”
