Trouty Mouth is staging a comeback.
Chord Overstreet is reportedly in the final stages of talks to return to “Glee.” And, according to TVLine, Chord’s return won’t just be a one-off. Instead, his character — Sam Evans — will recur throughout the rest of the show’s third season, which is already a hit with viewers and critics.
“We missed Chord and Chord missed us,” says a source close to the show tells TVLine. “It’s a win-win.”
Over the summer hiatus, talks fell apart between Overstreet and “Glee” when, according to the actor, the show didn’t give him the option to become a cast regular.
Sam is expected to make his return in the season’s eighth episode. In the season opener, his absence was explained by ex Mercedes (Amber Riley) who explained that Sam’s family relocated out of town.
In September, a brown-haired (that’s his natural color) Overstreet guest-starred as a teacher on an episode of ABC’s “The Middle.”
What do you think, zappers? Good news?
