Musicals are pretty much required to give us holiday episodes. “Glee” doesn’t disappoint. And for their fourth Christmas episode, “Glee, Actually,” the show will be singing its way through a whole host of classic holiday films.
What will they be singing, you ask? FOX has released six tunes from the episode for you to listen to before the episode airs. All of the songs will also be available on “Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album — Volume 3.”
First up is the light-hearted “Jingle Bell Rock,” sung by Sam (Chord Overstreet).
“Glee” being the inclusive show that it is, not every holiday tune is a Christmas song. Brothers Puck (Mark Salling) and Jake (Jacob Artist) take some time to sing “Hanukkah, Oh Hanukkah” during the episode.
In case you missed the news earlier, “Glee, Actually” will feature the long-awaited reunion of Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss) in New York City. This calls for a duet if anything does, and the boys oblige with “White Christmas.”
Next, “Glee” heads south of the border (kind of) with “Feliz Navidad.” Performed by Artie (Kevin McHale). Naturally.
Will Marley (Melissa Benoist) get to redeem herself in the eyes of New Directions? That seems like a Christmas-y thing to do. Whatever the case, she does get a solo. Here is the audio of Marley singing “The First Noel.”
Finally, the New Directions end things with the bittersweet “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”
“Glee, Actually” airs on Thursday, Dec. 13 at 9pm on FOX.
