McKinley High’s glee superstar has not just one, not just two, but three guys whom she’ll test her chemistry with when “Glee” returns to finish its back nine episodes of the season.

First up of course is the attraction that Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) has with athlete Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith), which will definitely get more attention.

“The Finn-Rachel relationship is always a core to the show,” “Glee” co-creator and executive producer Brad Falchuk says on a conference call Tuesday (April 6). “It’s the bridge of the two worlds, which was the popular jock boy with this unique glee girl. She represents glee and he represents the rest of the world.”

That relationship will be tested in the episode “Hell-O,” when a guy from Rachel’s world enters the picture. Michele’s “Spring Awakening” co-star Jonathan Groff guest stars as Jesse St. James, the lead in rival show choir group Vocal Adrenaline.

The “will they or won’t they” aspect of the Rachel-Finn relationship has to be exhausting, and Falchuk confirms that things will come to a head after all their circling.

“The relationship is always going to be a challenge for both of them even though both secretly and not so secretly sometimes love each other,” he says. “They’re always going to be sorta watching each other from afar. No matter what’s going on in their lives, they’ll always have one eye on the other one. By the end of Episode 22 of the back nine [episodes], we’ll reach a temporary conclusion to that, we’ll reach some kind of an understanding between the two.”

“Temporary” could mean many things, and that leaves the door open for Boy No. 3.

That’s right; everyone’s favorite mohawked cougar-bait Noah “Puck” Puckerman (Mark Salling) still has a chance with Rachel.

“Every good girl likes a bad boy, and there’s nobody more good than Rachel and more bad than Puck,” says Falchuk. “We didn’t know putting them in a relationship would make people so excited. So we go back and explore that a little bit in the back nine. We’ll continue to explore it. It’s high school. Everyone is always bouncing around to everybody else in high school so that won’t stop.”

“Glee” returns to finish its second season on Tuesday, April 13.

Who do you see Rachel with? Or is she destined for another guy beyond high school?
