Some major stuff is about to go down during the fourth episode of “Glee” Season 4 (it’s called “The Breakup,” so draw your own conclusions), and this new bit of casting news might give us a little insight into what happens: Nolan Gerard Funk has signed on to play the newest leader of the Dalton Academy Warblers.
Does this mean Blaine (Darren Criss) hasn’t hung up his Warblers blazer just yet? Maybe. According to TVLine, Funk will play Hunter, the new Warblers frontman who is tasked with trying to bring Blaine back to the group so they can win a national championship.
Don’t worry — regardless of what happens with Kurt and Blaine’s relationship, Hunter won’t be a threat. TVLine confirms that Funk’s character is straight and therefore won’t be a threat to everyone’s beloved Klaine.
Funk was most recently seen in the Jennifer Lawrence horror film “The House at the End of the Street,” and played Conrad Birdie in the Broadway revival of “Bye Bye Birdie.” You might also recognize him as the lead in Nickelodeon’s “High School Musical” response, “Spectacular!”
