Amber Riley‘s vocal strength is not just in her powerhouse volume, but also in her performance.

The “Glee” star sang twice at the 2010 All-star baseball game in Anaheim, Calif., Tuesday night (July 14).

To honor a group of the community all-star volunteers, she sang “Beautiful,” a song she had performed on “Glee.”

What is it about those opening stanzas that totally suck us in and make us feel all verklempt? Seeing all the volunteers interact is great also. This was just lovely.

Of course, Riley couldn’t be at baseball game and NOT sing the national anthem, which you can listen to over on MJsBigBlog. It’s not really our favorite rendition.

Riley and her Emmy-nominated co-stars return when “Glee” kicks off its second season on Sept. 21.
