We have to admit, we thought “Gossip Girl” would keep “Harry Potter” star Clemence Poesy as Eva around for longer than just four episodes, but the French prostitute bid adieu in tonight’s (Oct. 4) episode, “Touch of Eva.”
Yes, you read that right. She was a prostitute. No wonder she took it so well when she found out that Chuck traded Blair for the Empire Hotel. It’s also not a surprise that Chuck didn’t dump her when he found out she’d once turned tricks. After all, Chuck 2.0 is a humanitarian – he’s got nothing but compassion for those less fortunate.
What wasn’t okay with Chuck was the idea that Eva was with him for his money and for the Bass name. When Blair planted Chuck’s passport to make it look like Eva had known about his family fortune all alone, Chuck finally sent Eva packing.
Blair is off her game, though — way off. How could she have possibly thought that Chuck, master of all master manipulators, wouldn’t eventually uncover her scheme? He didn’t even have to exert any effort and Lily spilled the beans. Unfortunately, it was too late for Eva – she had already made up her mind to leave the Upper East Side behind.
We can’t blame Chuck for being angry, but we rolled our eyes a little bit when he declared war on Blair and pledged to make her life worse than he’s ever made it before… or something along those lines. All he needs now is an evil laugh and thunder rolling overhead outside his lair.
What do you think, Zappers? Are you relieved to see Chuck back to his old ways? Do you think Blair got caught on purpose? Will these two crazy kids ever work it out? Weigh in below in the comments.
