Rupert Grint‘s American television debut in “Super Clyde” won’t be airing any time soon, but CBS was kind enough to put the pilot episode of the show online anyway. The superhero-influenced sitcom stars the “Harry Potter” alum as the show’s titular character.
“Super Clyde’s” pilot, which can be viewed here, was put online at the request of creator Greg Garcia. He sent out an email explaining why he chose to make the pilot episode available to viewers. It can be read below:
“I shot a pilot for CBS called Super Clyde this spring and it didn’t wind up on their fall schedule. But the good people at CBS have been kind enough to make the pilot available online.
“I’m really proud of this show. Mike Fresco did an amazing job directing and the cast is great. Rupert Grint, Stephen Fry, Tyler Labine and Justine Lupe.
“If you want to kill 20 minutes at work click on the link and check it out.
“Also, if you tweet and feel compelled to let other people know the pilot is out there, please do.
“Okay, that’s it. Please forgive me for the shameless self-promotion but a lot of people worked really hard on the pilot and I think it deserves to be seen.”
Though “Super Clyde” didn’t get picked up to series, Garcia’s other 2013 pilot “The Millers” did. “Super Clyde” stars Grint as a fast-food worker who inherits millions from his uncle and decides to turn himself into a real-life superhero. What do you think of the pilot?
