Honey Boo Boo is in hot water with the Girl Scout of America for hawking their cookies to her 700,000 Facebook fans.
Alana Thompson, the seven-year-old beauty pageant queen and star of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” is not a Girl Scout. But she has been selling Girl Scout Cookies via her Facebook fan page on behalf of a family friend.
These aren’t your average Thin Mints, Samoas, or those weird new NutriFusion cookies — far from it. An order from Honey Boo Boo means autographed boxes of cookies shipped directly to your door, along with an autographed family photo, featuring Mama June, Sugar Bear, et al.
This arrangement isn’t sitting well with the Girl Scouts, however. The organization tells TMZ they asked Honey Boo Boo to take down the sale link, explaining online sales are prohibited. Apparently the group wants their girls to learn people skills and goal setting by standing out front of Wal-Mart stores and going door-to-door.
At the time of this posting, Alana’s Facebook page still features an email address where orders can be placed.
