– “How I Met Your Dad,” the spinoff to CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” series, has added two new cast members: Nick D’Agosto (“Masters of Sex,” above middle) and “Mixology’s” Andrew Santino. D’Agosto will play Frank, the “Robin” of the group, though Frank’s relationship to Sally (the “Ted”) is quite different than the Ted-Robin relationship that kicked off “HIMYM.” Santino has been cast as Danny, Sally’s older brother. His “HIMYD” role is secondary to his “Mixology” role. They join the already-cast Greta Gerwig as Sally. [THR]

– Odette Annable (“Banshee,” above right) has been cast in “Astronaut Wives Club,” the ABC drama about the women behind the men participating in the 1960s space race. Annable is Trudy Cooper, the youngest of the wives and also a licensed pilot. [Deadline]

– “Without a Trace” star Anthony LaPaglia could be headed back to CBS this fall. He’s taken the lead role in the network’s CIA drama pilot from “Revenge” writer Nikki Toscano. He’ll play Holden Weller, a retired and respected CIA operative-turned-high school football coach who’s pulled back into spy work after a terrorist attack in Washington, D.C. [TVLine]

– “Pretty Little Liars” alum Bryce Johnson will be heading to The CW’s “Supernatural” spinoff, subtitled “Bloodlines,” about warring monster families living in Chicago. There is no word yet as to what character Johnson is playing. [Deadline]

– ABC’s Richard LaGravenese “Dangerous Liaisons”-esque drama has
landed its second female lead. Current “Good Wife” recurring actress
Melissa George (above left) joins Katie Holmes as the two powerful socialists who
play out their obsession with each other through their manipulation of

– Brandon is getting a new love interest in Season 2 of ABC Family’s critically acclaimed drama “The Fosters.” Ashley Argota has been cast as an attractive singer named Lou, a charismatic, single-minded free spirit, who catches the eye of the Foster family’s eldest son. The Season 1 finale airs March 24, and the show will return with new episodes on June 16. [TVLine]

– CBS’ drama “Scorpion” has added two stars: Eddie Kaye Thomas (“American Pie”) and Jadyn Wong (“Being Erica”). They both play members of a team of geniuses who are combating the complex threats of the modern age. [Deadline]

– Comedy Central is taking its relationship with red-hot comedian Hannibal Buress to the next level. The comic, currently a recurring guest star on the network’s buzzy hit “Broad City,” announced on Twitter that his new show, “Unemployable,” has been given a 10-episode order. The series, a reality-comedy hybrid that follows Buress trying out a new job each week and then commenting on said job via his stand-up routine, has no set premiere date as of press time. – Josh Lucas has joined NBC’s “The Mysteries of Laura” opposite Debra Messing in the title role, a cop who catches bad guys but can’t handle her own raucous twin children. Lucas plays a fellow cop who also happens to be Laura’s soon-to-be ex-husband. [Deadline]
