Iggy Azalea has canceled her U.S. Great Escape tour, reps for the singer announced Friday (May 29).
“The Iggy Azalea Great Escape Tour scheduled for this fall has been cancelled and refunds are available at point of purchase,” representatives for Azalea said in a statement. “There will be a new tour planned around Iggy’s new record to be released in 2016 and we apologize for any inconvenience.”
Azalea’s tour has faced problems from the beginning, first being postponed in March 2015 due to production issues.
“To accommodate for creative team availability and tour production plans, it was determined that the tour will not be ready this spring,” the singer’s reps said when it was first postponed. “Good things take time.”
The Great Escape cancelation comes soon after a petition to get the singer stripped from her 2015 Billboard Music Awards win for Best Rap Song gained national attention after it received thousands of signatures.
