After announcing on May 3 that she was expecting her first child, it’s been revealed that Jaime King is having a girl. The “Hart of Dixie” star and her husband, director Kyle Newman, have been married since 2007.
A source confirms the baby’s sex to Life and Style, saying, “They’re very excited and can’t wait to meet their daughter.” King and Newman first met on the set of “Fanboys,” a movie he directed and she had a part in. Within three months they moved in together, before marrying two years later.
In addition to her role in “Hart of Dixie,” King will also return as Goldie in “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For,” which is in theaters October 2. Newman has a few projects in the works and still plans to revisit the “Fanboys” franchise for a sequel eventually.
Update: A representative for King has contacted Zap2it, saying the reports of the baby’s sex are not correct, and that the child’s gender is still unknown. King tweeted herself that she and Newman plan to be surprised by the baby’s sex.
