“Glee” star Jane Lynch is stopping by “The Late, Late Show” on Friday night (July 19), where host Craig Ferguson asks her how she’s doing in the wake of co-star Cory Monteith’s death.

“It’s been a very tough week. It’s tough, we lost a cast member. Cory Monteith was a lovely, lovely guy. Everybody loved him. Big loss for the ‘Glee’ family,” says Lynch, getting choked up.

It’s shocking. Whenever I see someone like that, when someone goes young like that, from what he went with, that could’ve easily been me, I was there, right there at that time in my life. Exact same thing, it’s just awful. Poor kid,” says Ferguson.

Monteith passed away from a lethal combination of heroin and alcohol last weekend. He was 31.
