chelsea gill youtube Jason Segel serenaded in video by random fanJust when you thought the shameless cries of random people seeking dates with celebs had reached their end with the Marine Corps Ball YouTube-athon of 2011, another has joined fray. And this time it comes with musical accompaniment.

A former Indiana University theater major named Chelsea Gill issued her plea to “The Muppets” star Jason Segel by serenading him with a guitar and a quirky tune.

In the song, which has been viewed nearly 40,000 times since it went up on Jan. 3, Gill mentions that she’s “sane, tested and disease-free.” She adds she’s clearly open to trying new things, saying, “any crazy s*** you want to do, just know I can do it, too.”

Segel, ever the good guy, responds politely to Gill on Twitter saying the song was “My favorite thing, maybe ever. I am in awe.”

If Segel and Gill end up marrying and having kids, just imagine when he explains to their offspring, “This is how I met your mother.” But if that doesn’t happen, just enjoy the song.
