jason sudeikis leaving snl Jason Sudeikis implies he's leaving 'Saturday Night Live' too“Saturday Night Live” has already said goodbye to Kristen Wiig and Andy Samberg, and it sounds like Jason Sudeikis is on his way out the door too.

“I’ve left places before. This is very, very different,” Sudeikis says in an interview with Men’s Journal (which isn’t online, but excerpts are in the New York Daily News). “Goodbyes are tough.”

Sudeikis’ contract was up at the end of last season, and he hasn’t signed a new deal with “SNL” in the intervening time, which he says makes him feel “kind of in the trees.” He does have a new movie, “The Campaign” with Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, due out in August, and a handful of other films in line for release over the next year. (Sudeikis also does voice work on “The Cleveland Show.”)

The Men’s Journal interview comes on the heels of Sudeikis telling Rolling Stone in June that he’ll miss “the potential” of doing live comedy each week and the people he worked with at “SNL.”

If Sudeikis is done, the show will need to find someone else to play Mitt Romney in the run-up to the presidential election (though he could presumably continue as a guest star), not to mention Joe Biden, the devil and the guy in the red tracksuit who dances energetically during “What’s Up With That?”
