jason sudeikis leaving snl Jason Sudeikis might stay at 'Saturday Night Live' in a new roleAlthough Andy Samberg and Kristen Wiig both left “Saturday Night Live” after the sketch comedy show’s 37th season, one high-profile departure is still up in the air: Will veteran cast member Jason Sudeikis return for Season 38?

In a new interview with the Los Angeles Times, Sudeikis says he’s interested in returning, but perhaps in a different role.

“I’d like the opportunity to use creative muscles that … haven’t been asked of me for the first nine years that I’ve worked there,” Sudeikis says. “It could be some sort of title change. The least of the concerns is anything financial. I’m not buying a boat because of writing skits. It’s more having a desire to give more to a place I really believe in.”

Sudeikis obviously cares about the place where he’s worked for the past nine seasons, but being one of the most valued cast members might not be worth it if he doesn’t get to stretch those creative muscles. “To stay just for the juice of being in the public eye — of being Mitt Romney — is not enough,” he admits.

Should Sudeikis stay on “SNL” or do you think he should try his hand at a full-time film career? Will the show be able to withstand the blow of losing Wiig, Samberg and Sudeikis in one year?
