Jenna Bush Hager has landed a new job at Southern Living magazine. The “Today” show correspondent and daughter of George W. Bush, lives in New York, but she says her heart remains in the south.
“I’m kind of like a homesick Texan living in New York,” Jenna says. “I grew up reading this magazine. My mom had a subscription. It’s something that I’ve always known about.”
The New York Times reports the publisher is looking to Jenna to help lasso a younger readership for the stalwart periodical.
“There’s a new generation of Southern women that I’d love to speak to,” says Jenna. “Entertaining and food and all the things that Southern Living does so well is something I don’t do on the ‘Today’ show.”
