jennifer hudson new album Jennifer Hudson releasing second album 'I Remember Me' in MarchOscar and Grammy winner and “American Idol” alum Jennifer Hudson will release her second album on March 22 — and its first single hits radio airwaves next week.

The album, “I Remember Me,” comes two-plus years after the release of Hudson’s eponymous debut, which hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart and won her a Grammy for best R&B album. The new record’s title track is based on a poem Hudson wrote; she co-wrote the song with Ryan Tedder.

“I’m excited about this album because it’s almost like a renewal for me, reflected through the chapters of my life,” Hudson says in a statement. “I’ve called it ‘I Remember Me’ because of the journey I’ve been on. I’ve learned that life constantly surprises you, no matter your plans. My fans have been so loyal, I feel like they have been on this journey with me, and I can’t wait for them to hear the new album.”

The album’s first single, “Where You At,” will debut on radio next week. A snippet of the R. Kelly-written and -produced song is on Hudson’s website, and based on what we’ve heard, the heartbreak song is right in Hudson’s big-voiced wheelhouse. People who pre-order “I Remember Me” at her website will get the chance to download “Where You At” next week before the rest of the world.

In addition to Kelly and Tedder, Hudson worked with the likes of Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Ne-Yo and Stargate on “I Remember Me.”
