jennifer lawrence reality tv Jennifer Lawrence's favorite TV shows: Could you really be her best friend?

While doing promotions for “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” Jennifer Lawrence has made it more clear than ever that she would make an awesome best friend. Would that friendship actually work out, though?
Sure, she seems fun to hang out with, she’s got no end of stories and witty anecdotes, and she doesn’t seem caught up in the Hollywood lifestyle. However, what’s one of the most important parts of friendship? The ability to talk endlessly about your favorite TV shows, of course. Who else will help you process the end of “Breaking Bad” or the latest cast member death on “The Walking Dead”?
You might not have that option with your best friend JLaw. You see, Lawrence has her favorite TV shows too, and there are some interesting picks. On her latest trip to “The Late Show with David Letterman,” she spoke about her love for “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
You could get past that if it was the only show, but that isn’t the case. She’s actually been very open about her TV habits for quite a while, telling Marie Claire South Africa in December 2012 that she’d much rather sit at home watching “Dance Moms” and “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” than being out in the world. The jewel in her reality TV crown is “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” as she told Jay Leno on “The Tonight Show” that she actually got in a car accident once because she thought she saw the young pageant queen.
While hanging out with her, stuffing your face with junk food and staring at a screen for hours sounds great, could you do it while the lives of Honey Boo Boo and her family unfold before your eyes? Furthermore, if something on “Dance Moms” strikes an emotional chord in her, it might be pretty difficult to be a supportive friend without saying, “But it’s ‘Dance Moms’.”
If you can handle being there for her during the ups and downs of the Kardashian family’s adventures, then just maybe you can indeed be JLaw’s best friend. After all, she’s perfectly lovable. Perhaps you’ll also be the one to introduce her to good TV shows. Good luck convincing her to watch “Mad Men,” though.
