Actor Jeremy London’s legal woes continue. Just six weeks after he was wanted for questioning in relation to an incident of domestic violence, TMZ is reporting the Riverside County D.A. has decided to press charges against the former “Party of Five” star.
London and his estranged wife Melissa Cunningham were arguing on Nov. 18 about child custody when the discussion turned violent. Soon after, Cunningham called the Palm Springs police to report the alleged assault.
The Riverside D.A. will charge London with one count of misdemeanor domestic violence. He could face a year in jail if convicted.
At the time of the initial complaint, London’s representative Dominic Friesen called the event “a false allegation…no such abuse occurred.” Neither London nor his rep have offered any new comment in light of the pending charges.
The 39-year-old London has a checkered past including drug addiction and was on Season 4 of “Celebrity Rehab.“
