A bad influence: It’s kind of the same story all over again, “Jersey Shore” isn’t a good representation of Jersey. We’re not sure anyone with a brain really thinks it is, but New Jersey Governor Chris Christie called the show a “negative” for the state on ABC recently. And a “Jersey Doesn’t Stink” campaign was created online to combat the “Dirty Jersey” stereotype created by shows like the MTV reality show and Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” Good luck with that!
Playboy goes Joizy: Just as the show is set to air on Thursday (July 29), Playboy visited The Shore for a “Real Girls of Jersey Shore” pictorial. So, if you’re in to Garfields, head on over. Wonder what Governor Christie thinks about that!
“The Situation” is dire: According to the New York Post, the cast is over Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s ego and hope to chase him off like they did Angelina Pivarnick.
There’s a “smoosh room”?: The Los Angeles Times spent some time with the cast while they were shooting in Miami and brought back some video of the new Miami digs, which includes a room designed for hooking up, the “jizz-cuzzi,” but no duck phone. Blasphemy! They also went shopping with the guidos, so watch closely if you want to be like Mike (oh, and the other guys, too).
American values: Entertainment Weekly is giving the cast quite some elbowing after they rang the bell at the New York Stock Exchange. We think it’s pretty appropriate. They managed to make themselves something out of nothing and isn’t that the American way?
