“Justified” will kick off the new year for the cable channel when it begins its fourth season at 10 p.m. ET Tuesday, Jan. 8. The new season will find Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) digging into a 30-year-old cold case that takes him back to his childhood and his father’s bad deeds. Guest stars for the coming season include Patton Oswalt, Ron Eldard and Joe Mazzello, who plays a Pentecostal preacher who rubs Boyd (Walton Goggins) the wrong way.
FX will debut a new comedy block on Thursday, Jan. 17, starting with back-to-back episodes of “Anger Management” — which is beginning its 90-episode run to syndication — at 9 p.m. (The show takes up regular residence at 9:30 p.m. the following week.) Season 4 of “Archer” follows at 10 p.m., leading into new comedy “Legit,” starring Australian comic Jim Jefferies as “Jim Jefferies,” a comedian trying to further his life and career in Los Angeles.
The just-picked-up “Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell” will also return on Jan. 17. “BrandX with Russell Brand” rejoins the Thursday lineup on Feb. 7.
