Justin Bieber is taking an all-out offensive on Mariah Yeater, the 20-year-old woman who claims the pop star is the father of her child. The Coifed One went on “The Late Show” on Tuesday (Nov. 22) and told host David Letterman what he thought of the whole paternity matter.
Letterman first expressed disappointment with Yeater saying the whole matter reeks. “I could smell a weasel,” he says. Bieber concurs saying, “I could smell a weasel too.”
The “Baby” singer then took to “The View” on Wednesday (Nov. 23) to continue defending his reputation and debunking Yeater’s claim. This included a discussion of Bieber taking a paternity test.
When asked by Barbara Walters why he chose to take a DNA test when he didn’t have to, Bieber says, “I just wanted everything to be out in the open…There’s no reason for this to even be a discussion…I think we’re bringing too much attention to this girl.”
In lighter Bieber news, “The View” co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck inquired about Bieber’s girlfriend Selena Gomez. But unlike his open discussion of the DNA test, he was decidedly tight-lipped about his relationship.
“People know that we’re dating and stuff, but I like to keep a certain privacy. I have to have something special to me that I don’t share with everyone else.”
