justin bieber big sean today show Justin Bieber's 'As Long As You Love Me' video details: Bieber and Big Sean tell a 'Romeo and Juliet' storyPop star Justin Bieber has been teasing his 24 million Twitter followers all weekend with vague tweets from the set of his new video, “As Long As You Love Me,” featuring Big Sean. Now, Zap2it has the exclusive details on what you can expect from the upcoming vid.

For starters, expect it to be more like a short film than a music video, similar to the shorts that Bieber’s idol Michael Jackson used to produce. The video is directed by Anthony Mandler, who is best known for his frequent collaborations with Rihanna — he directed her “California King Bed,” “Man Down,” “Only Girl In The World,” and “Unfaithful” videos.

According to our sources, the tone of the video is modeled after Baz Luhrmann‘s “Romeo and Juliet” — and we hear that Bieber has been doing a surprisingly good job of pulling off the Leo DiCaprio smolder.

With his usual choreography turned up a notch for the dubstep track, Bieber tells an epic, romantic story about “two longing hearts that society deems shouldn’t be together.” Yes, he’ll be smooching a super-hot video girl, but we hear he took a couple breaks from the shoot to call his real-life love Selena Gomez, so don’t worry, Jelena fans. All is well.

The video also features the romantic lead’s stern, intimidating father, who just doesn’t approve of the Bieb. Somehow, we’re pretty sure love will prevail in the end, since Mandler is looking for the video to tell a story that “inspires all of us to live for a greater truth, against all odds.”

In addition to Big Sean, Bieber’s pals Usher and Will.I.Am were on set — but that doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll see them in the video. Usher and Will.I.Am have both worked with Mandler before, so they might have just stopped by to lend their support.
