justin bieber selena gomez chris brown getty Justin Bieber's recent troubles because of Selena Gomez? Chris Brown says it's youth, having limitless incomeJustin Bieber has been receiving a lot of press lately, and not much of it is good. He allegedly got into an altercation with a neighbor after the neighbor confronted him about his reckless driving in the residential neighborhood. His pet monkey got quarantined in Germany. And his friends reportedly throw wild parties at his house while he’s out on tour.

Is his recent break up with Selena Gomez to blame? That’s what sources tell TMZ. People close to the singer say Gomez has been regularly calling Bieber and sending him “mixed messages,” which would explain his recent visit to Selena’s Hollywood house.

Meanwhile, singer Chris Brown thinks Bieber’s troubles are a part of being young and having access to so much money — which is a valid point.

Brown tells 105.1’s “Breakfast Club” (via E! Online) that Bieber’s treatment in the media is similar to what he has gone through.

“It’s sorta like what Justin Bieber’s going through right now. With him, it’s just a case of how I feel.
Being young, having a limitless amount of income, whatever you wanna do
as a young guy, and then at the same time, you don’t have nobody that’s
gonna say, ‘Hey, bro, you look wack right now,'” says Brown.

But he also takes issue with the media focusing on Bieber’s friend Lil Twist, who has been ticketed while driving Bieber’s cars, was the driver of the Ferrari when photographer Chris Guerra was killed and was one of the friends at the raucous party at Bieber’s house.

“I feel like the mainstream media — and I don’t care, I ain’t
in it, this my own thing I’m gonna say about it — I just feel like
they’re gonna target the little black boys around him and say, ‘Hey, so
this is why he’s doing it,'” says Brown, also adding that he’s glad he doesn’t hang out with Bieber because he would probably be blamed as a bad influence.

“I pray for him, I pray
for myself. I think we both go through it because we’re great artists
and he’s a big artist to his fans,” Brown concludes.
