Zap2it is totally guilty of hyping up Justin Bieber‘s Best Buy commercial, which first aired in the second half of Sunday’s Packers vs. Steelers Super Bowl XLV. We know, we know… we pretty much hype up everything Bieber does.

When Ozzy Osbourne appeared on screen, one of the Zap2it staffers joked, “Is he gonna bite off Justin Bieber’s head?!”

That would’ve made one hell of a statement. (For those of you who are eleven years old and confused, Osbourne is infamous for biting the head off a live dove during a meeting with record executives in 1981.)

Instead, the commercial was about replacing the old with the new, with Osbourne bumbling around in his trademark “Oh, Ozzy” way. It probably would’ve been more effective back when he was still at the forefront of our pop culture consciousness — like when “The Osbournes” was on MTV — but it worked.

We particularly loved the part where Bieber, made-up with prosthetics and a bad wig, poked fun at himself. “What’s a Bieber?” Osbourne asks.

“I dunno, kinda looks like a girl,” says Bieber-as-creepy-background dude.

The whole “Justin Bieber is a girl” thing has gotten old really, really fast. There’s nothing sadder than an adult tweeting about how a 16-year-old boy (who has accomplished more than we ever will collectively) is a girl. So we dig that Bieber is taking back the “joke.” You go, Biebs.
