Perhaps Kanye West was sick and tired of calling his new song “Theraflu.” Or perhaps his lawyers were sick and tired of dealing with calls from the big pharma firm Novartis. Either way, he decided to change the name of the tune.
Theraflu had previously announced their displeasure with the song title. In a statement, the company says, “We in no way endorse or approve of the references or use of the image and likeness of Theraflu in this manner.”
The song, in which West professes his love for Kim Kardashian, has also drawn the ire of PETA. The animal rights organization was none to pleased about the line, “Tell PETA my mink is dragging on the floor.” This prompted them to respond by saying, “What’s draggin’ on the floor is Kanye’s reputation as a man with no empathy for animals or human beings.”
