Well, we have to say, that mug shot isn’t exactly the picture of remorse.
Former “The Bachelorette” contestant Kasey Kahl — you’ll remember him as the one who swore to “guard and protect” Ali Fedotowsky’s heart, then dated Vienna Girardi, then fake-dated Vienna Girardi — was arrested on Sunday morning at a nightclub.
TMZ reports that Kahl “attacked” a man named Richard Chaney outside the club, then “smashed” his girlfriend, Renee Idsinga, in the face when she tried to break up the fight. (Word is, Kahl was loudly and publicly claiming to have slept with one of Renee’s friends.)
Renee told police that she had scratched Kahl’s neck, and then he punched her in the face and caused her nose to bleed.
Kahl’s publicist released the following statement:
“At this time we have no comment regarding the specific facts of the
alleged incident, but we are confident that Kasey Kahl will be fully
exonerated upon completion of a full investigation. We merely ask for
patience until such a time that those facts can be brought forth. As
Kasey is in the public eye, it is not unlikely that we would not be
surprised if these persons bent on attaining their 15 minutes of fame,
while intoxicated and perhaps fueled by jealousy, will antagonize and
attack stars such as Kasey in a ‘Jersey Shore’ type brawl given the
opportunity. These persons wanted their 15 minutes, which they received,
and now those 15 minutes are over. The recent reports emphasizing any
brutality on his behalf and downplaying his act of self-defense are
entirely speculative and false. Kasey’s lawyers will vehemently confront
