kate gosselin oct 2011 gi Kate Gosselin wants you to sail away with herRoyal Carribean newest cruise ship, Allure of the Seas, and it has a lot to offer: the first Starbucks at sea, the hit musical “Chicago,” meet-and-greets with Shrek, Po the Panda and other DreamWorks’s characters, margaritas, a classic carousel, Flow Rider surf simulators, zip lines and aerial acrobats.

And, if that’s not enough, this August, tourists can spend a week with Kate Gosselin.

The woman who’s made a career out of largely-absentee motherhood will be aboard Allure of the Seas for a round-trip cruise from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida through the Western Carribean the week of Aug. 12. It’s not for fun though, she’s working.

Gosselin will host a private welcome cocktail party where guests will receive a “commemorative personalized gift” and take pictures with fans. She will also mingle at a brunch, private BBQ, a charity dinner and a farewell dinner. Plus, look for at her during on-board activities — including a book signing and craft demonstration — as well as leading an on-shore excursion at one of the ports of call.

One question though: Do the Plus 8 get to go too?

Brill Bundy has spent her entire career covering TV and pop culture. This is what happens when your parents try and limit your viewing habits to three shows a week. Likes: seasons with no more than 13 episodes, anti-heroes and binge-watching. Dislikes: when cartoon characters make out, when TV shows name check their titles, drawn out premieres and finales. TV words to live by: "If every porkchop was perfect, we wouldn't have hot dogs."
