The actress dishes on why she kept her pregnancy under wraps from even her closest friends until now. “I’m pregnant, and I’m really sick,” she shares. “But I couldn’t say that because you really want to keep it as quiet as you can for the first trimester.” Apparently all that keeping mum had her pals worried, “My friends all thought I was depressed because I wouldn’t leave the house… I was just hoping that all of the sudden I could show up somewhere with a big belly.” Hudson is expecting with rocker beau Matt Bellamy, and has been reported as speculating that the baby will be a girl. In other mommy-to-be news: Rachel Zoe has one request for her baby boy on the way — stay put! “I have conversations with him on a daily basis, like, ‘You cannot go anywhere until after [the Oscars]” she says. Zoe is in the midst of styling Oscar host Anne Hathaway for the big night, as well as launching her own fashion line. “I have a lot coming up so he’s not allowed to go anywhere yet!” she exclaims. “Modern Family’s” Jesse Tyler Ferguson stepped out at ELLE’s Women in Television event on Thursday (Jan. 27) with a new man by his side. Ferguson was spotted holding hands with actor Justin Mikita on the red carpet and Mikita later tweeted a picture of the duo from inside the event. Ferguson also took to the micro blogging site announcing their night out with a TwitPic of their place cards and a caption that reads: “So @justinmikita and I are at the Elle Women in TV Party.” No official comment from either party yet, but they do look super cute! Someone apparently couldn’t wait to get their hands on a copy of Mel Gibson‘s “The Beaver.” Summit Entertainment reportedly gave Mel a final cut of his latest film on DVD to be screened in his home. The DVD was supposed to be returned, but was snatched out of Gibson’s mailbox before the mail courier could pick it up. The case is being investigated as petty theft. [TMZ
