The Finnish government has gifted Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge with a Finnish baby box, a box of baby goodies that the country’s social service agency Kela delivers to expectant mothers in Finland.
The box can double as a crib, though we aren’t sure the little Royal will be sleeping in a cardboard box instead of a bassinet.
Included in the box is a snowsuit, leggings, rompers, a hooded bath towel, a brush, diaper cream, a teething toy, a picture book and cloth diapers — plus condoms and bra pads. Hey, you don’t want baby no. 2 to come along too soon, so.
Kela’s director Liisa Hyssala tells Reuters, “We sent it to them, because we are so proud of this Finnish social innovation.”
A spokesperson for Kensington Palace says, “We were delighted to receive the very kind gift of the maternity package from the Finnish government.”
