Kate Winslet, 33, has bared her bod in more than 10 films in her film career, including "Titanic," "Hamlet," "Iris" and "Holy Smoke."
Not to mention her recent nude shots in Vanity Fair magazine.
But "The Reader," which earned her a nomination for a best actress Oscar, might be her last onscreen nudity.
She tells Time magazine why she won’t go nude again: "I can’t keep getting away with it, and I don’t want to become ‘that actress who always gets her kit off.’ "
What, she’s hanging it up — or keeping it on — at age 33?
What about Oscar-winner Helen Mirren, who, at 58, did a nude scene in "Calendar Girls" in 2003?
Isn’t Kate a little young to say no-no-no to nudity? And, not to be crass, but she’s now at the point where she really has something that’s worth taking "her kit off" for.
Besides, if the rumors are true, it could be those brave — and hot — "Reader" nude scenes that have helped her win all the awards this season. And it might just snag her an Oscar on Sunday.
Is Kate serious? Or is this statement just a ruse to get us all to rush to theaters to see her last nude scene in "The Reader?"
If so, it may just work.
