Katy Perry and John Mayer took to “Good Morning America” Tuesday (Dec. 17) to debut the music video for their new duet “Who You Love.” Shot with real couples and using the metaphor of being in a relationship being the equivalent of riding a bull, the video shows Perry and Mayer’s real-life chemistry jumping off the screen.

During their interview, Mayer and Perry showed off their more couple-y side. Trying to decide how to sit next to each other while talking to George Stephanopoulos, Mayer quips, “You get too close and it’s too touchy-feely and you get too far away and they say, ‘I don’t see chemistry.'”

There definitely is chemistry to be seen between these two. From giggling and cracking jokes together on “GMA” to showing that you really love who you love in their music video, it’s easy to forget that these two ever had relationship problems.

Apparently Mayer at first didn’t want to be the guy who made a song with his girlfriend. “The very first thought was, you can’t do that,” he admits. “The more I thought about just the music part of it, it made perfect sense. Even if I didn’t know Katy, it would have made perfect sense.”

Of what he learned from Perry while making the music, he says, “Katy Perry is a superstar for a reason.” After aww-ing over that answer, Perry responds, “John has a very gentle, authentic touch to everything he does.”

What do you think of this music video?
