Whoa. Keanu Reeves is making a move into television with the new hour-long series “Rain.” According to Deadline, the action star will play a half-Japanese, half-American assassin named John Rain who kills his marks by making it look like they’ve died of natural causes.
The show is based on Barry Eisler’s best-selling series of novels that includes “A Clean Kill in Tokyo,” “A Lonely Resurrection,” “Winner Take All” and more.
Reeves will star in and executive produce the project with Chad Stahleski and David Leitsch, the men who are directing the actor in his new movie “John Wick.”
The drama series will be “The Matrix” star’s first big TV series.
