Nope. Thanks to Twitter, the world knows that Clarkson’s empty fingers were the result of a lost ring incident.
Several hours before she appeared on stage on Saturday (June 8), Clarkson had tweeted a photo of herself, fully decked out in wedding attire and showing off her diamond ring. The photo was accompanied by the caption:
“Can’t wait to perform my next country single tonight at #CMAfest!!! #TieItUp WHO’S READY?!!!!!!”
It may have been Clarkson herself that was not ready. The “American Idol” champion of champions was already on the stage and performing her “Stronger” when Clarkson realized that her engagement ring hadn’t made it to the show. According to CMT News, the singer spent much of her in-between-songs time offering light-hearted apologies to fiance Blackstock.
Where was the ring? Despite Clarkson’s laid-back demeanor during her performance, the engagement ring really was lost. But don’t worry — that diamond didn’t stay hidden for long. As Kelly tweeted on Sunday (June 9):
“For all of the concerned fans I FOUND MY RINGS!!! Seriously, panicked in my head all night long …..so did Brandon haha!”
It looks like a happily ever after remains firmly fixed in Clarkson’s future.
